Information Sharing - Gloucestershire Information Sharing Partnership Agreement
Where any project involves the sharing of personal data, an Information Sharing Agreement is required.
We have created and reviewed the Gloucestershire Information Sharing Partnership Agreement (GISPA) to enable organisations to share important information in line with data protection principles set out in Data Protection legislation.
GISPA Version 5 - what has changed?
There has been a major review of the core framework set out in the GISPA to cover updated legal requirements and standard clauses, dispute resolution, third party rights and severance.
There has also been the removal of reference to professional standards and specific accreditations. These changes have been made to ensure that V5 is in line with Gloucestershire County Council’s Information Sharing Agreements’ standards whilst ensuring that it remains flexible and attainable for other organisations.
A review of the Specific Information Sharing Agreement (SISA) (Schedule 1) has also taken place to include legal requirements and mechanics of sharing. There is also now an Appendix alongside the SISA which allows the parties to outline additional processing and restrictions, as well the appropriate technical and organisational measures in place.
GISPA Version 5 is available to view on GCC's website.
