Information Sharing

Most of the council's information sharing will be defined by legislation or statutory guidance but we also take further steps to protect your personal data.

In 2010, GCC worked closely with partner agencies to develop the Gloucestershire Information Sharing Partnership Agreement (GISPA) which brings together consistent sharing practices between police, health and other organisations within Gloucestershire. You can learn more about the GISPA on the GCC website.

Secure transfer methods

When the council shares personal data outside of it's own secure network, we use an email security software called Egress. This software includes end-to-end encryption and offers a large file transfer functionality.

You can choose not to correspond with the council via Egress, but awareness is needed that this opens up risks to your personal data such as hacking and interception.
