Information Sharing
Most of the council's information sharing will be defined by legislation or statutory guidance but we also take further steps to protect your personal data.
In 2010, GCC worked closely with partner agencies to develop the Gloucestershire Information Sharing Partnership Agreement (GISPA) which brings together consistent sharing practices between police, health and other organisations within Gloucestershire. You can learn more about the GISPA on the GCC website.
Sharing information about individual cases
Information sharing between professionals can contribute to and support the care and treatment of individuals and help protects people from harm.
Each request received by the council will be considered on a case-by-case basis, with professionals making a judgement on what should be shared, with whom and under what circumstances.
The individual's needs at that point in time will always be at the forefront of any decision.
