About Community Safety Advisors (CSA's)
Our team of advisers go out into the community to help the people in Gloucestershire stay safe.
The CSA's are based at every fire station around the county ensuring that we can provide important safety advice to anyone who requests it.
Each of them go out into the homes of people and give advice and provide practical support including Safe and Well visits and fitting smoke alarms free of charge.
They also work with Trading Standards, NHS, Warm and Well, Gloucester Deaf Association, Telecare and ALL the Local councils in Gloucestershire. Most of their time will be spent out working in the community, but the team will also offer support for community safety initiatives, events and Fire Station open days.
People they visit will often be referred to the service by partners mentioned above, but they will include:
- People over 65 years of age.
- People living alone.
- People with disabilities.
- Smokers.
- Those without existing smoke alarms.
- Individuals with drink or drug dependency.
