Disposal and recycling tips
- Only place filters and canisters in your refuse bin. Electrical parts should not be placed in your refuse bin.

- Vapes can now be recycled at Household Recycling Centres provided by Gloucestershire County Council. This provides a safe way of disposing of vapes to help reduce litter and the fires caused by damage.
- Batteries that can be removed can be recycled with household batteries
Smoking
- Never smoke in bed. It’s very easy to fall asleep while your cigarette is still burning and set furniture alight.
- Never smoke when under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If your lit cigarette starts a fire, you could be less able to escape.
- Never leave lit cigarettes, cigars or pipes unattended – they can easily overbalance as they burn down
- Make sure that your cigarette is fully extinguished. Put it out, right out.
- Use a proper, heavy ashtray that can’t tip over easily and is made of a material that won’t burn
- Fit and maintain a smoke alarm. They can cost less than a packet of cigarettes.
