The Sensory Lead ensures the delivery of high-quality sensory service to people with a sensory loss to live as independently as possible by providing a comprehensive model of specialist provision which can include assessment, equipment, training, professional support and advice.
The Sensory Lead improves the services to adults with a dual sensory loss via direct work with them, their carers, and families, and also works with others to develop specialist services and act as a resource for others engaged in working with people with a dual sensory loss. The Sensory Lead undertakes the day-to-day line management of the sensory team members.
