Population Figures

Information in this section is based on the latest Mid-Year Population Estimates produced by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

This report provides an overview of the current population of Gloucestershire. It includes sections on the total population,  age structure and dependency ratios of Gloucestershire and its districts.

It is accompanied by a series of one page summaries that visualise the key points for Gloucestershire and each of its districts.

Please note these resources are based on the latest Mid-2024 estimates at County and District Level. We are not expecting the Mid-2023 and Mid 2024 estimates for small areas (Wards, MSOA's, LSOA's and COA's) to be published until late 2025. This means the latest available small area data covers the period Mid-2022.

In addition the Mid 2023 and Mid 2022 estimates have been revised so may differ from those published previously.
