Dispelling the myths

We are focussing on dispelling the myths and will help you to better understand some of the common phrases that you may have heard recently.

Structural Racism

Structural Racism, also described as systemic racism, refers to the systems in place that allow racial injustice to continue.

It can be seen in processes, attitudes and behaviour which amount to discrimination through unconscious prejudice, ignorance, thoughtlessness and racist stereotyping which disadvantage minority ethnic people. It is present in both political and societal institutions.
