“Black History Month is a time to look back at the great contributions of black people over the years and to recognise the issues still affecting BAME people today, and how we can all move forward with equality in the future.

When I think about why I wanted to be the Chief Exec of GCC, it all goes back to consciously choosing to be a public servant through a belief in helping people and communities.  It’s the same set of values that support my absolute commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion ... in what we do and how we treat each other.

We are all individuals and every one of us is different; and that’s what gives us the skills and experience to tackle the toughest challenges in society.”
