Can I foster?

We are looking for potential, not perfection, and you might be more ready to foster than you think.

You don’t need to be married, own your own home, or have children of your own. You certainly do not need to be a superhero or perfect. What really matters is that you can offer a child a safe, caring, and supportive home.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

You’re over 21 (there’s no upper age limit!)
You have a spare room
You’re emotionally resilient, patient, and nurturing
You want to make a real difference to a local child’s life
You’re ready to work as part of a team – with social workers, schools, and support services
You have permanent leave to remain in the UK

Whether you’re single, in a couple, retired, working, LGBTQ+, renting or a homeowner – if you can offer love, stability and understanding, you could be an incredible foster carer.

And you won’t be alone. We’ll be with you every step of the way, offering expert training, 24/7 support, generous payments and allowances, and a friendly network of fellow foster carers.
