A high-quality learning environment must fulfil the learning and development requirements of the EYFS and offer children a flexible space which is appropriate for their age and stage of development.

We have produced a range of resources to support you to reflect on your learning environment.

The Early Years environment audit tool supports you to reflect on your physical learning environment, your temporal environment, and the social and emotional environment that you offer to children.

To support any gaps identified using the audit tool we have also developed a range of Environment information handouts. These cover a wide range of topics, shown below, to support the development of your learning environment.
